A Biomechanical examination helps determine the underlying causes of common musculoskeletal problems.
A Biomechanical examination usually involves a non-weight bearing assessment and a weight bearing assessment. We look at your muscles, your alignment while seated and while standing up, and analyse your gait (walking/running). We follow this with a thorough treatment plan which may include custom made foot orthotics. We also assess your footwear and advice you on what to look for.
You may need a biomechanical examination for; lower back pain, hip pain, knee pain, shin pain, ankle pain, Achilles pain, heel pain, arch pain, forefoot pain and big toe joint pain.
Ingrowing nails can be painful and troublesome if not managed correctly. At Cambridge Foot Clinic we have the best knowledge and experience to help you with your ingrown nail problem. Non-surgical treatment is always the first option, however if this looks like it may not work then surgical intervention is necessary.
